If you want to build a project to be the best that it can be, you need to learn to do reverse engineering. Reverse engineering is the process of studying and analyzing the electrical system and engineering design so that you understand it “backward and forward.”
When you are this skilled at the process, you will also be able to reverse the process in your mind and even create the reverse procedure in CAD so that you can make the machine do exactly what you need it to do.
Let’s say you create a prototype for a computer, then you realize you need the circuit to flow the other way. This is where you would use reverse engineering techniques and recreate this aspect of the product so that it will work the opposite way than the way in which it was intended.
The term, “Building a better mousetrap” is often used in the tech industry for this reason. You need to always be able to think outside the box and think about another way to complete the project.
